This portrait reminds of Catalina Sandino Moreno from the movie http://www.mariafullofgrace.com/index.html
Below a great iniciative from Dimitrios, please read and... follow;)
>Dear friends in the am3 world. I would like to propose the publication of a couple of self portraits for Friday 28th and Saturday 29th of September. It can be anything you like, mirror images which is the easiest, reflection on a spoon! Ha-ha-ha, or even sketches of yourselves. It will be great to see each other and to meet the talented photographers from all around the globe. I have the greatest respect for the people that want but cannot due to cultural or religious reasons publish their image on the web. For these am3-friends that want to participate, I kindly ask them to publish instead a picture of a place in their home town that they are proud of. Please feel free to copy this text with your daily pictures so we have a great participation. I am looking forward in meeting you on 28th and 29th September, see ya soon. Kind regards Dimitrios.<

@tyan: Thank you! I find colour portraits very difficult but I'm quite pleased with this one. Cheers
nice Portrait - the shallw depth of field makes it look like it was taken with a medium format camera. Brave choice to focus on the lips not the eyes!

This is a great portrait. I love it that you are not afraid to us DOF on her. I will take up your suggestion to do self portraits on the 28th and 29th. I am really excited about this!

@stijn: Hi Stijn, I've seen this portrait on two different screens. On my screen the picture has loads of color tones on her face going from pink to brown at green (yes there was a green light source in the room) really well balanced. But on the computer I'm writting from now, there is none of that and the image is mutch flatter! Callibration problem I guess. I'll give it a try in B&W. Hey! it can't be THAT bad ;D
I really like this. I like the way her lips are so prominent. I'm not completely sure about the colour balance though (and I know how hard it is to get a photo to look consistent across different computer screens). On mine at least, there's a slight unnaturalness to the yellow tones in her skin.

@Damon Schreiber: Damon thank you for your input. I think I have to calibrate my working screen. I'll be posting tomorow the B&W version, do have a look! see you
